Key2Giving is a key recovery service that’s open to supporters of a selection of charities. All you have to do to join is set up a regular monthly donation with your chosen charity.
As well as helping your chosen charity with their work, as a member of Key2Giving, you get the peace of mind that your keys are in safe hands. If you lose your keys and someone finds them, they can easily send them to us and we’ll return them safely and securely to you as soon as possible.
Key2Giving is owned and managed by Fundraising Initiatives, which is part of the Fundraising Initiatives Group and a member of the Institute of Fundraising. We run the service on behalf of a number of charities.
We work with a cross-section of charities covering areas like animal welfare, health, children and helping the elderly. New charities are being added all the time. The latest list is on our choose a charity page where you can find out about each charity’s work and how your support can make a real difference.
When you join, you’re given a special, attractive key ring. On the back is a freepost address, a web address and a helpline phone number. Anyone who finds your keys will find it easy to contact us and send them back but there’s absolutely no way they can trace them to your address.
Your key ring has a reference number on it that’s unique to you. This is held along with your details on our secure database. Once your key ring is handed in to us, we’ll match it to your details and safely return your keys in an unmarked package by special delivery. It’s as simple and secure as that.
To become a regular donor to your chosen charity and a member of the Key2Giving service all you have to do is select your membership level from:
- Single membership is £5 per month for one key ring
- Dual membership is £8 per month for two key rings
- Household membership is £12 per month for four key rings
How much of my donation will the charity get?
100% of your monthly donation is received by that charity that you have chosen to give to. Key2Giving is brought to you by Fundraising Initiatives Limited a professional fundraising company paid separately by the Charity to provide the Key2Giving Service and to process your donation.
Your membership starts as soon as your chosen charity receives your first direct debit instalment. All you have to do to stay covered is keep helping your charity with a regular monthly donation. Your continued regular donation will ensure that you remain a member but this would cease if you stopped your donation.
If you lose your keys, please call our helpline straight away. The number is 0845 11 99 100. It's open from 9am till 9pm on weekdays and from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturdays. Outside these hours, there’s an answer phone service. When you call, we'll log your details so we can return your keys as quickly as possible if they’re found and returned to us.
